Matthew specialises in training and development design and consulting for the corporate and educational sectors. His experience is in the areas of training needs and process evaluation, the alignment of training to strategic needs, training to create sustainable medium to long-term improvements in business performance, improvement in employee morale and skill levels and enhancing business communication strategies.

He has 15 years experience in the educational and corporate training and development sectors and has undertaken consulting with several leading independent schools and independent school organisations and with several multinational companies. These engagements have included:

• Design and delivery of leadership and management programs
• Development of training materials for software programs designed for use in the tertiary sector
• Presenting train the trainer programs
• Developing and conducting leadership and management workshops
• Developing student focused development programs
• Curriculum training for the incorporation of ICT in the curriculum

In addition to consulting, Matthew has held a number of roles in the educational sector, including responsibility for:

• Development of training programs for students and staff for pastoral care, leadership and management
• Developing the core educational strategies for Gifted and Talented teaching programs
• Development of key curriculum approaches aligned with the NSW Board of Studies Higher School Certificate review
• Presenting to the Australian Institute of Training and Development State and National Conferences
• Development of leadership and communication systems

He is a director and member of the Council for the Centre for Strategic Education and holds membership of Australian Institute of Training and Development, the International Institute of Directors and Managers and the Australian College of Education.
