Rod has gained over 15 years experience within the managed investments and securities trading areas of the financial services industry working in a variety of roles in operations, strategy, product development, marketing, change management and process design and implementation.

Over this period, he has undertaken work and assignments for BT Australia, National Australia Bank (NAB), MLC ANZ and Avanteos (division of CBA). For example:

• Operational line management within BT Australia
• As senior member of a team, undertake design and implement processes and lead the team undertaking user acceptance testing for a new business unit within NAB
• Lead a team to design and implement business continuity plans and processes for the same new business unit within NAB
• Undertake a review of customer complaint processes within ANZ, including facilitating workshops to collect relevant data and views within ANZ
• Co-authored and presented to the management committee of a leading financial institution recommendations for simplifying the customer interface for new customers. 5 of the 8 recommendations were adopted and implemented
• Undertake analysis of As Is processes for a large investment servicing and processing area. Assisted with the development of To Be processes and supported the initial implementation
• Develop business processes to facilitate trading of a broad range of financial products for Goldman Sachs J B Were high net worth clients on the Avanteos WRAP platform.
